Major Arms and Dangerous Substances Seized by Cameroon Customs

The combined efforts of the Commercial Customs Brigade in Touboro and the Customs Post in Bogdibo, in the North Region of Cameroon on the evening of Wednesday, February 4, 2026, has let to the significant seizure of arms and hazardous products at the Bogdibo checkpoint. The operation underscores the dedication and vigilance of customs officials in safeguarding public security.

The seizure included an alarming array of dangerous items, all of which were being transported on a motorcycle headed for Chad. The confiscated materials comprised: 1,760 arrows, including 40 poison-tipped arrows, 1 box of Diazepam tablets, 5 axes- 20 stirrups, 19 cases of poisoned arrows, 15 knives, 7 empty cases, 2 packages containing substances suspected to be poison.The sheer volume and nature of these items raise serious concerns about the potential threats could pose if they had reached their intended destination.
