The Minister of Youth and Civic Education, Mounouna Foutsou has made public the theme for this year’s National Youth Day celebration. This year marks the sixtieth anniversary of the National Youth Day, a significant milestone demanding vibrant celebrations. The festivities will be officially launched in Gari-Gombo, located in the Boumba and Ngoko Division of the East Region, and will unfold nationwide from February 1 to 11, 2026.
This year’s theme, “Youth at the Heart of Great Expectations, for a United, Stable, and Prosperous Cameroon,” encapsulates the spirit of the celebrations. It emphasizes the integral role young people play in shaping the country’s future.
