Buea Council, MINDHU Officials Earmark Road Corridor for Proposed 12-Meter Bokwaongo–Bojongo Road

The Buea Council, alongside officials from the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing have carried out a field exercise on May 28, 2026, to earmark and retrace the road corridor for a proposed 12-meter road linking Bokwaongo to Bojongo.

The route will stretch from Bokwaongo Baptist Church Junction through Naanga Village, Bwassa Village, Likombe Village, and Mapanja Village to Bojongo.

The exercise was led by Lord Mayor Barrister David Mafani Namange, with traditional leaders, local residents, and technical teams present. The team identified the road alignment and sensitized the population on the need to respect the designated corridor.

Officials said the project forms part of ongoing government efforts to improve urban mobility, enhance accessibility, and promote sustainable development within the municipality. Once completed, the road is expected to ease transportation, facilitate economic activities, and improve connectivity between communities in Buea Municipality.
