Troops from the Chadian National and NORMADE Guard are in Cameroon as guests of honor for this year’s National Day celebration.
The Chadian contingent has already joined Cameroonian forces in rehearsals at the May 20 Boulevard in Yaoundé, taking part in drills ahead of the May 20 parade. Their presence underscores the continued military cooperation and ties between the two Central African nations.
The guest of honor tradition brings foreign contingents to march alongside Cameroonian units during the national day celebration, highlighting regional solidarity.
