Archbishop Nkea Urges Bamenda Catholic Faithfuls to Be Ambassadors of Peace

The Archbishop of Bamenda, His Grace Andrew Nkea, has called on Catholic faithfuls in the Bamenda Ecclesiastical Province to answer Pope Leo XIV’s call for peace and act as ambassadors of peace in their communities.

The appeal came during a special thanksgiving Mass at Our Lady of Fatima Shrine in Abangoh, Mezam Division of the Northwest Region. Speaking to the congregation, Archbishop Nkea stressed that peace goes beyond words and requires a collective effort from everyone.

He urged believers to take the message beyond the church walls and live it out daily in their neighborhoods, families, and workplaces. The call added weight, given the prolonged insecurity in the Northwest Region and South West regions as many hope for the return of peace.

Framing peace as a shared responsibility, the Archbishop’s message aims to mobilize ordinary Catholics to become agents of reconciliation and stability in their immediate surroundings.
