Practical examination sessions for two GCE subjects have been rescheduled after they were found to coincide with the Muslim feast of Tabaski.
The GCE Board’s Head of Transition Management, Ndi Bernadette, announced that the practical exams for Food and Nutrition and Engineering Science will now take place on Thursday, May 28. The timetable for all other subjects remains unchanged.
Tabaski, also known as Eid al-Adha, falls on Wednesday, May 27 this year. The feast commemorates Prophet Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice his son Ismael in obedience to Allah and is marked by animal sacrifices, sharing of meat with the community, and prayers.
