The Apostolic Nuncio to Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea Arch Bishop José Avellino has revealed that access to liturgical celebrations during Pope Leo XIV visit to Cameroon will be completely free
The statement was released in response to flyers circulating online that advertise the sale of tickets to attend the venues where the Pope will be present between April 15 and 18. Church authorities stressed that no tickets should be sold for entry to the papal liturgical celebrations.
In its public notice, he warned the faithful not to be misled by private initiatives that demand payment for access to Papal events. “No sale of tickets for seats is permitted for these celebrations,” the release said, underlining that attendance is open and without charge.
The message sought to protect worshippers from fraud and to ensure that the Pope’s pastoral mission remains accessible to all who wish to attend. Church leaders also reminded Cameroonians that the papal visit is primarily a spiritual and ecclesial event.
